What are you thankful for? - 12/1/05
Many of us take life for granted. Here in the U.S.,
we just recently celebrated Thanksgiving and a lot
of people set a day aside to give thanks. While I
also did this, I am now going to take the next 24
days, and list the things that I am thankful
for.
I think this is a good way to take the focus of the
Christmas season off me, shopping, gifts etc. and
to put the focus where it should be and deserves
to be - on Christ!
12/1/05: I am thankful for a merciful God that
allowed His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ,
to die for my sins. And not just mine, but
your sins and the sins of everyone that calls
on His name and believes that He is our Savior.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes
in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the
world to condemn the world, but that the world
through Him might be saved.
